Senior Design Engineer – Product Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead product engineering initiatives for off‑highway and heavy‑industry equipment. The role involves hands‑on design, analysis, and development of new product development (NPD) systems while collaborating with global cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop NPD systems, driving cost‑out and VAVE processes.
• Perform FEA, CFD, thermal, vibration, and critical speed analyses using Pro/E and CAE tools.
• Apply DFM, DFA, DFS, and DFMEA principles to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
• Participate in technical Change Review Board (CRB) meetings and guide technical leads.
• Coordinate with user support, business, and localization teams to meet customer requirements.
• Lead weekly team meetings, break down tasks, assign work, and monitor progress.
• Provide technical solutions to complex problems and ensure on‑time, quality delivery.
• Conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions and on‑the‑job training for team members.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile engineering.
• 7‑9 years of experience in design engineering for heavy equipment such as telehandlers, boom lifts, or excavators.
• Proven ability to work with global, cross‑cultural teams.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision‑making skills.

Required skills

• Pro/E (Creo) and CAE tools.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), thermal, vibration, and critical speed analysis.
• DFM, DFA, DFS, DFMEA.
• GD&T application.
• Component development and part localization.
