Senior Consultant – Customer Success (Public Sector)

About the role

Appian’s Customer Success team is looking for a Senior Consultant to lead public‑sector engagements in Chennai. You will guide small engineering teams, design robust integrations and act as a trusted technical advisor to government clients, driving adoption of Appian’s AI‑powered process automation platform.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior staff while leading post‑sale software implementation projects.
• Collaborate with clients to define business processes, gather functional and technical requirements, and design end‑to‑end solutions.
• Architect integrations using REST, SOAP, JDBC and ensure high‑quality code through test‑driven development.
• Drive agile delivery practices such as pair programming, stand‑ups, sprint planning and continuous integration.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and emerging AI/ML capabilities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years hands‑on with the Appian platform.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 20 % for customer engagements.
• Experience with modern cloud frameworks (AWS, Google Cloud) and container technologies.
• Knowledge of software testing practices and AI/ML applications.
