Security Guard

About the role

The Security Guard position at Peregrine Guarding is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Chennai. You will protect people, property and assets by monitoring the premises, controlling access points and conducting regular patrols.

Key responsibilities

• Verify identification and manage visitor entry at all access points.
• Perform routine patrols and monitor CCTV, alarm and access control systems.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents and emergencies, following established procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports and hand over information to supervisors or client representatives.
• Provide courteous customer service while enforcing security policies and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Physical ability to stand or patrol for extended periods and work shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; formal security training, certification or local licence is a plus.
• Prior experience as a security guard or in a similar protection role is preferred.

Required skills

• Access control and surveillance operations.
• Patrolling and emergency response capabilities.
• Familiarity with CCTV, alarm and access control equipment.
• Basic incident report writing and clear communication.
