Resident Medical Officer – ICU & Emergency

About the role

We are seeking a Resident Medical Officer to provide direct clinical care in our Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. This on‑site position involves rapid, evidence‑based decision‑making for high‑acuity patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, resuscitate, and stabilize critically ill and emergency patients at triage and in ICU.
• Perform emergency procedures such as endotracheal intubation, central venous and arterial line insertions, and ventilator initiation.
• Lead initial sepsis management, acute cardiac care, and trauma resuscitation following established protocols.
• Utilise point‑of‑care ultrasound (POCUS) and ECG interpretation for bedside diagnostics.
• Document clinical findings and handovers accurately in the hospital information system.
• Participate in on‑call rosters, rapid response teams, and quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• MBBS degree with valid Indian medical registration.
• Proven clinical exposure to ICU and Emergency Department patient care.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Required skills

• Ventilator management and emergency airway procedures.
• Point‑of‑care ultrasound (POCUS) operation.
• ECG interpretation.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) knowledge (preferred).
• Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems.
