Research Quality Specialist – Material Science (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Research Quality Specialist in Material Science to design and validate high‑quality research problems for semiconductor and molecular modeling domains. This short‑term, remote contract offers flexible hours with a required overlap with Pacific Standard Time.

Key responsibilities

• Design research‑grade Material Science problems involving semiconductor materials and molecular modeling.
• Develop computational solutions and scientific coding workflows using Python.
• Create structured problem categories, tags, and difficulty classifications.
• Solve advanced quantitative problems with rigorous scientific accuracy.
• Participate in detailed quality reviews of problems and solutions.
• Collaborate with reviewers and project teams to improve content quality and consistency.
• Contribute to AI evaluation datasets for advanced reasoning systems.

Required profile

• PhD or PhD candidate in Computational Material Science or a related field.
• Strong expertise in semiconductor materials and molecular modeling.
• Published peer‑reviewed research work.
• Excellent analytical reasoning and quantitative problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
