Quality Specialist – Manufacturing & Process Excellence

About the role

The Quality Specialist will ensure the highest standards of product and process quality for Hitachi Energy India. You will implement, maintain, and continuously improve quality management systems to meet both company objectives and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes aligned with global standards and local regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of products, processes, and systems to identify non‑conformities.
• Analyze quality data, spot trends, and generate reports that drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Investigate customer complaints and internal issues, determine root causes, and lead cross‑functional resolution.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain and other departments to embed quality considerations throughout product development and manufacturing.
• Support and deliver quality training programs to raise awareness and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and participate in internal and external audits.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and work with procurement to guarantee material standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related).
• 3‑5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, preferably in power, energy or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, especially ISO 9001.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
