Quality Specialist – Ensure Product & Process Excellence

About the role

The Quality Specialist will safeguard product and process quality at Hitachi Energy India, implementing and continuously improving the company’s Quality Management System to meet global standards and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain quality control processes aligned with Hitachi Energy’s global standards and local regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of products, processes and systems, identifying non‑conformities and improvement opportunities.
• Analyse quality data, spot trends, produce reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Investigate customer complaints and internal quality issues, determine root causes and drive resolutions with cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain and other departments to embed quality considerations throughout product development and manufacturing.
• Support and deliver quality training programs to raise awareness and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and participate in internal and external audits.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and work with procurement to guarantee material standards.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related) or a comparable technical discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, preferably in power, energy or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, especially ISO 9001.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
