Quality Assurance Engineer – Incoming Inspection & Supplier Development

About the role

The Quality Assurance Engineer ensures that all incoming materials and supplier‑provided components meet Endress+Hauser’s technical, quality, and certification requirements. The role strengthens product and process reliability through structured inspections, supplier development, and corrective actions while supporting the integrated Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Provide local technical clarifications to suppliers and the supply‑chain team.
• Manage the quality inspection laboratory and oversee incoming quality inspections.
• Conduct technology audits at supplier sites and perform on‑site first‑sample qualification.
• Support global production teams for serialized parts and product releases.
• Review and approve zero‑pilot series, update quality documents, and report instrumentation needs.
• Lead PDCA cycles, identify training needs, and deliver online quality training.

Required profile

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet‑metal work, molding, and casting (including plastic injection, high‑pressure die casting, investment casting).
• Strong understanding of GD&T (ISO GPS) and tolerancing.
• Experience with supplier evaluation, development, audits, and certification compliance.
• Proficiency in inspecting and testing materials, processes, and products.
• Hands‑on experience with measuring tools (vernier caliper, height gauge, micrometer, surface tester, CMM) and gauge calibration.
• Familiarity with ASME, ISO, ANSI, AISI, DIN, and JIS standards.
• Competence in MS Office and SAP QM.
