About the role
We are looking for a French‑speaking QA Specialist to evaluate and improve the quality of multi‑channel audio recordings and their associated transcripts. This remote, contract position involves ensuring technical fidelity, accurate timestamps, and proper speaker identification for a variety of audio projects.
Key responsibilities
- Assess multi‑channel audio for technical quality, checking for background noise, clipping, and proper channel isolation.
- Verify that human‑validated transcriptions meet high accuracy standards and capture natural speech patterns, including overlaps and interruptions.
- Validate turn‑level and word‑level timestamps, speaker IDs, and JSON‑formatted metadata tags.
- Confirm that metadata includes correct demographic markers and conversational tags while ensuring no PII, toxic, or sensitive content is present.
- Provide pass/fail assessments with actionable feedback to improve future annotations.
Required profile
- Native proficiency in French.
- Exceptional auditory discrimination to detect subtle audio issues.
- Meticulous attention to detail for timestamp verification and transcription rules.
- Experience with transcription, annotation, linguistics, or phonetics is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and follow strict quality guidelines.
Required skills
- Strong understanding of natural, unnormalized speech patterns.
- Familiarity with JSON metadata structures.
