Professor of AI & Machine Learning – Computer Science Department

About the role

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering seeks an experienced professor to lead teaching, research and curriculum development in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and related emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in AI, ML, computer vision, programming, databases and related subjects.
• Design and lead industry‑oriented labs, bootcamps, projects and technical training programmes.
• Mentor students on academic projects, internships, research, competitive programming and career development.
• Develop and continuously update curricula, course materials, assessments and outcome‑based learning resources.
• Integrate emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, IoT and Big Data Analytics into teaching and project work.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish in reputed journals and conferences, and contribute to patents and intellectual property.
• Collaborate with faculty, industry partners and academic institutions on research and technology initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Image Processing, and an M.Tech. and B.Tech. in related fields.
• 20+ years of teaching and academic experience in Computer Science and Engineering.
• Proven record of research publications, patents and industry collaborations.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Python, Java, C/C++, SQL, web technologies.
• Expertise in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing, Generative AI, Agentic AI.
• Knowledge of Cloud Computing, IoT, Big Data Analytics, Data Science.
• Experience with Database Management Systems and Full‑Stack Development.
