Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor – Applied Psychology

About the role

The Department of Applied Psychology seeks dynamic academicians to join as Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor. Candidates will contribute to teaching, research, and community engagement across clinical, social, and general applied psychology.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate, postgraduate and advanced courses in applied psychology and related specialisations.
• Design curricula, lesson plans, assessments and academic resources in line with university and UGC guidelines.
• Mentor students on internships, research projects, dissertations and career development.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and guide doctoral work where applicable.
• Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, FDPs and foster academic collaborations.
• Support accreditation processes, curriculum development, rankings and quality‑assurance initiatives.
• Engage with hospitals, NGOs, industry and community organisations for practical exposure and research opportunities.
• Utilise modern teaching methodologies, digital learning platforms and LMS tools.

Required profile

• Assistant Professor: Master’s degree (≥55%) in Psychology/Applied Psychology, NET qualification preferred, Ph.D. preferred or in progress.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. in Psychology/Applied Psychology, minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience, strong peer‑reviewed publications.
• Professor: Ph.D. in Psychology/Applied Psychology, 10‑15 years of teaching/research experience, proven academic leadership and doctoral supervision.

Required skills

• Expertise in clinical, social, counseling or behavioural psychology.
• Knowledge of psychological testing, counselling techniques and research tools.
• Experience with NAAC/NBA accreditation and academic quality processes.
• Proficiency in digital teaching‑learning platforms and LMS tools.
