Production Supervisor – Shift Operations (AMG)

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Production Supervisor (AMG) to lead end‑to‑end shift activities on the shop floor. You will ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations while driving performance against key KPIs such as OTD, OEE, PEFF, and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all shift production activities, ensuring compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
• Coordinate with PED, Maintenance, Quality, and SCM teams to meet shift KPIs.
• Optimize resource utilization, drive multi‑skilling initiatives, and improve line efficiency.
• Lead, coach, and motivate shop‑floor teams, conducting root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting production issues.
• Implement Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous‑improvement activities; maintain compliance with APS, ISO/IATF 16949 standards.
• Ensure accurate completion of work orders in ERP systems and maintain production data integrity.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 6–8 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or industrial engineering roles.
• Proven experience managing high‑volume, complex production lines.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Tamil.
• Willingness to work in shift operations.

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement methodologies (Kaizen, 5S).
• ERP system usage for work‑order completion and data accuracy.
• Process optimization and production planning.
• Knowledge of APS, ISO/IATF 16949 standards.
