Production Supervisor

About the role

ABB is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team in its Smart Power manufacturing facility in Bangalore (Nelamangala). The role focuses on delivering ABB products on time, cost‑effectively, while ensuring quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate resources to meet monthly production targets and adhere to demand plans.
• Coordinate material availability with planning and purchasing teams and drive equipment/facility improvements.
• Maintain customer PPM targets and zero line‑stoppages by implementing preventive actions and process improvements.
• Monitor KPIs, enforce safety compliance and uphold 6S standards across production areas.
• Lead, motivate and develop direct and indirect team members in line with HR policies.
• Implement lean manufacturing, line balancing and 5S concepts to optimise shop‑floor operations.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on planning and operational improvement.
• Full‑time Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Production Engineering.
• Ability to work rotational shifts (A, B, C) to support continuous production.
