About the role
AVEVA is seeking a Principal Technologist to lead the design and development of scalable web and cloud applications for its product portfolio. You will translate complex software requirements into high‑quality code, influence architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, test, and support web/cloud applications using C#.NET 8, Web API and REST API.
- Participate in design‑architecture activities and define technology frameworks.
- Collaborate with product owners and R&D management to clarify requirements and provide technical feedback.
- Contribute to sprint planning, release timelines, and identify scope deviations.
- Implement cybersecurity standards, conduct code reviews, unit testing and documentation.
- Coach and mentor junior staff throughout the development lifecycle.
Required profile
- Strong experience in object‑oriented design, design patterns and principles.
- Proven ability to work in a hybrid, full‑time environment and deliver high‑impact solutions.

- SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL
- JavaScript, jQuery, Angular
- Azure and AWS cloud platforms
- Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Cognitive Services
- Semantic Kernel or similar .NET AI frameworks
- Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, App Services, Container Apps
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents
- Serverless architecture concepts
