Frontend Engineer – React & JavaScript

About the role

Apple is looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to design and deliver high‑traffic web applications that provide seamless, accessible experiences across devices. You will join a cross‑functional team that values innovation, quality, and user‑centric design.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable, high‑performance web applications using modern frontend technologies.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers and backend engineers to create responsive, accessible user interfaces.
• Write clean, modular, reusable code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Implement and optimise applications with frameworks such as React, Vue.js or Angular, and tooling like Redux, Webpack and ESLint.
• Ensure cross‑browser compatibility, performance optimisation and adherence to security and accessibility standards.
• Conduct peer code reviews, debug performance bottlenecks and resolve technical issues.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging web technologies and contribute to frontend architecture improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular).
• Experience with tools such as Redux, Web Components, WebRTC, Rush, Webpack and ESLint.
• Understanding of web performance optimisation, responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility.
