Principal Consultant – Process Optimization

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Principal Consultant to join its Process Optimization team in Hyderabad. You will deliver consulting solutions that implement Real‑Time Optimization, planning and scheduling, and yield accounting tools for refineries and petro‑chemical plants.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy Real‑Time Optimization models using AVEVA’s proprietary tools.
• Build and implement USC Planning and Scheduling models for complex refinery and plant operations.
• Create reconciliation and yield accounting models with the Product Accounting tool.
• Communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences and collaborate with regional consultants and sales teams.
• Lead project execution, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery, model testing, automation and on‑site commissioning.
• Perform economic and technical sensitivity analyses to support product enhancement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 9 years in refinery or petro‑chemical consulting.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

Required skills

• Real‑Time Optimization (RTO) tools.
• USC Planning and Scheduling tools.
• Product Accounting and yield reconciliation tools.
• Process simulation and model building (APO, APA, AUSC).
