Planning & Fulfillment Specialist

About the role

ABB is looking for a Planning & Fulfillment Specialist to join its Smart Power Division in Bangalore. You will support the development and optimisation of planning and fulfilment processes, helping the business meet inventory targets, improve on‑time delivery and reduce lead times.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation and improvement of planning and fulfilment processes, tools and skills.
• Manage planning and procurement of trading goods to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Analyse inventory (short, excess, obsolete, ageing) and implement corrective actions with sales, marketing, suppliers and fulfilment teams.
• Coordinate with local and global suppliers to enhance purchase schedules, on‑time delivery, quality and overall supply‑chain efficiency.
• Handle import/export activities, customs and GST compliance, and manage benefits under EPCG, Advance License, DEEC, DEPB and EXIM policies.
• Monitor customer order delays, warehouse receipt processes, inbound discrepancies, supplier NCRs and KPI reporting to ensure smooth logistics and customer service.

Required profile

• Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, material planning or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent problem‑solving, structured thinking and attention to detail.

Required skills

• SAP for procurement, material planning and inventory tracking.
• Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Microsoft Office applications.
