Placements Associate (Tech Recruitment)

About the role

upGrad is seeking a motivated Placements Associate to support the career development of technology graduates. The role involves managing the end‑to‑end recruitment process for technical positions and ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment cycle for technical roles such as Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Gen‑AI, Business Analyst, etc.
• Source candidates from databases and screen resumes.
• Conduct initial HR interviews and assist candidates with interview preparation and job readiness.
• Coordinate technical interviews with hiring managers, track feedback and monitor placement outcomes.
• Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) and keep the candidate pipeline current.
• Build and nurture a talent pool for current and future hiring needs.
• Handle key accounts, escalations and ensure a smooth interview scheduling process.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tech recruitment.
• Graduate in BE/B.Tech or MBA in HR (preferred).
• Strong interest in technology and career development.
• Basic understanding of technical roles and associated skill sets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
