Photography Assistant (Full‑time, Mumbai)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Photography Assistant to work on‑site in Mumbai, supporting photographer Jatin Kampani during studio and location shoots. The role involves preparing equipment, assisting with lighting, and helping with image and video post‑production.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, organize and maintain cameras, lenses, accessories, backdrops and props.
• Set up, adjust and safely handle lighting equipment for each shoot.
• Assist with composition, framing and on‑set coordination with clients and crew.
• Transport and set up gear on location or in the studio, and break down after shoots.
• Perform basic image editing, photo retouching and video editing, and back up all files.
• Maintain an orderly digital archive of photos and videos.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of photography and video.
• Hands‑on experience assisting on studio or location shoots.
• High attention to detail, reliability and strong organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and ability to follow instructions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical capability to handle equipment and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience with video editing software.
• Technical understanding of lighting equipment setup and adjustment.
