Operations & Maintenance Incharge (Mechanical)

About the role

The Operations & Maintenance Incharge will lead the upkeep of critical mechanical equipment across water and wastewater treatment facilities. The role ensures reliable plant performance, minimizes downtime, and supports business development through effective maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of HSC pumps, vertical turbine pumps, compressors, blowers, various valve types, and pipeline networks.
• Execute preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Implement and monitor a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders and KPIs.
• Audit water and wastewater treatment plants and supervise commissioning of water/sewer lines.
• Prepare and manage monsoon‑related precautionary activities.
• Enforce EHS and quality documentation, SOPs, and compliance procedures on‑site.
• Manage sub‑contracts, vendor agreements, purchase orders, and related amendments.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5‑15 years of experience OR BE/B.Tech (ME) with 5‑12 years of experience.
• Proven experience in O&M of mechanical equipment in industrial or utility settings.
• Strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.

• Mechanical equipment operation (pumps, compressors, blowers, valves, pipelines).
