NVH Engineer – Automotive Body Structure CAE Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced NVH Engineer to lead baseline CAE analysis of body-in-white (BIW) and vehicle structures. The role focuses on delivering low-frequency NVH performance improvements while balancing packaging, manufacturing and cost constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Perform static, modal and dynamic (FRF, NTF, VTF) NVH simulations using Optistruct.
• Develop and optimise body structures to meet global static & dynamic stiffness, local dynamic stiffness and frequency response targets.
• Support design teams with NVH-compliant solutions and ensure timely delivery within program schedules.
• Drive test-support activities and maintain effective test-to-CAE correlation.
• Participate in model building, debugging, validation and optimisation of simulation setups.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced development environment.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of automotive NVH CAE experience, preferably in OEM or Tier-1 environments.
• Proven ability to deliver body-structure NVH simulations (trimmed and un-trimmed) and provide design improvement recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to handle medium-to-high complexity tasks independently.
• Good communication and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• Optistruct (SOL101, 103, 108, 111, 200 equivalents).
• HyperWorks suite (HyperMesh, HyperView, HyperGraph) – version 17 or newer.
• MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Excel VBA/macros preferred.
• Exposure to CAD/PLM tools, preferably 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Understanding of low-frequency NVH behaviour (0-500 Hz) and body-structure design.
• Experience with optimisation techniques and acoustic cavity modelling is a plus.
