About the role
The Lead Engineer – Gas Path Systems provides end‑to‑end technical leadership for gas‑path components in the automotive powertrain domain. You will own the definition, design, integration, validation and launch readiness of intake and exhaust commodities from concept through series production.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery and design of intake systems, ducts, resonators, exhaust manifolds, pipes, mufflers, after‑treatment interfaces, turbocharger interfaces and EGR connections.
- Define and manage system‑level and component‑level requirements, interfaces and specifications.
- Drive architecture, packaging and vehicle integration activities while ensuring compliance with emissions, thermal, NVH, durability and regulatory targets.
- Conduct design reviews, engineering change management and risk assessments (DFMEA).
- Own DVP&R planning, validation testing and corrective actions.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (NVH, thermal, emissions, calibration, manufacturing, vehicle integration).
- Manage supplier technical development, reviews, timelines and issue resolution.
- Support industrialization, manufacturing feasibility and launch readiness.
- Act as primary technical interface to OEM customers for gas‑path topics.
Required profile
- 3 to 10 years of experience leading engineering programs from KO to SOP.
- Proven ability as a System/Commodity/Lead Engineer in automotive powertrain projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
