Maintenance Technician Mechanical Focused (Agency)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical‑focused Maintenance Technician to join an agency‑managed team. The role involves installing, inspecting, maintaining and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment in an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of complex mechanical systems and conduct equipment inspections under guidance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures, perform emergency repairs and execute preventive‑maintenance routines.
• Analyze routine functional inquiries and apply established procedures to provide effective solutions.
• Carry out quality tests, inspections and detailed analyses requiring independent judgment.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Organise daily work schedule in line with shifting priorities and optimise equipment utilisation.
• Support internal communications, implement simple change‑management tasks and provide technical guidance when required.
• Prepare clear and concise reports on maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary non‑tertiary education.
• 7‑12 months of hands‑on experience with straightforward mechanical procedures or systems.
• Ability to work with guidance but exercise independent judgment on technical matters.
• Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
