Logistics Associate – International Freight & Parcel

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Logistics Associate to oversee both international freight shipments and small cross‑border parcel shipments for a leading personal‑care cosmetics manufacturer. The role involves managing ocean and air freight as well as parcels that may encounter customs holds, requiring strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean and air freight shipments, including quote requests, booking support, tracking, and documentation.
• Manage small international parcel shipments, handling customs holds, carrier follow‑up, and release issues.
• Prepare and submit shipping and customs documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, powers of attorney, bills of lading, and airway bills.
• Communicate directly with freight forwarders, customs brokers, couriers, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Compare freight and shipping quotes from multiple providers and select optimal options.
• Track shipments, identify delays or missing documentation, and follow up persistently until clearance and delivery.
• Maintain organized shipment records and documentation.

Required profile

• Experience with both freight shipments and small cross‑border parcel shipments.
• Familiarity with customs clearance processes and import/export documentation.
• Strong communication, follow‑up, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Proactive, persistent and comfortable contacting brokers, carriers, and customs contacts.
