Line Producer – Film Production (Delhi)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Delhi and reports to the senior production team at Maddock Films. The Line Producer will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day physical production activities of film or series projects, ensuring that shoots run smoothly, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate film or series shoots, managing all on‑ground logistics.
• Develop and monitor production budgets, prepare cost reports and optimise spend.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with vendors, crew members and service providers.
• Supervise pre‑production tasks such as location scouting, securing permits and obtaining necessary approvals.
• Collaborate with creative, production and post‑production teams to maintain timelines and quality standards.
• Handle on‑set problem solving, risk management and compliance with company policies, legal requirements and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Strong line‑production and production‑management experience, preferably in TV and film/series environments.
• Hands‑on expertise in coordinating multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in pre‑production planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, location scouting and vendor management.
• Proven budgeting capabilities: cost estimation, expense tracking and regular financial reporting.
• Excellent organisational, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with Indian production legalities, permits, contracts and on‑set safety standards.
• Willingness to work long and irregular hours during intensive production phases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media, Communication or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
