Lead Requirement Engineer – eAxle

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking a Lead Requirement Engineer to own the complete requirement lifecycle for its eAxle electric drive projects. You will act as the central authority for requirement governance, ensuring traceability, baseline control, and audit readiness across system, design, validation, quality, and supplier teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end requirement processes in IBM DOORS, including baselines, changes, traceability, and audits.
• Lead requirement elicitation from OEMs, system, safety, cybersecurity, and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Decompose requirements from customer level down to hardware/software sub‑systems and maintain a clear taxonomy (functional, performance, interface, safety).
• Create and control formal baselines, lead Change Control Board activities, and perform impact analyses covering scope, cost, schedule, safety, and testing.
• Ensure bidirectional traceability across Customer, Design, Implementation, Test, and Verification phases.
• Drive requirement reviews, defect closure, and quality checks while monitoring stability and volatility metrics.
• Align requirements with DVP&R, test cases, and validation evidence; conduct cross‑functional and OEM alignment workshops.
• Manage interfaces and dependencies, flow down requirements to suppliers, and maintain complete requirement management evidence for audits.

Required profile

• BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile.
• 5‑8 years of experience in requirement engineering for automotive or electric drive systems.
• Strong systems mindset with familiarity of the V‑Model development approach.
• Understanding of eAxle/electric drive domain; MBSE or SysML knowledge is a plus.

Required skills

• Expert level proficiency with IBM DOORS / DOORS Next.
• Experience applying V‑Model processes.
• Knowledge of eAxle and electric drive technologies.
• Awareness of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.
