Lead DevOps Engineer (SDE III)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer (SDE III) to design, build, and scale cloud‑native infrastructure for our fintech platform. You will work closely with development teams to improve productivity, reliability, and deployment velocity across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS.
• Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS or self‑managed) for large‑scale production workloads.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitOps principles.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement robust observability systems using Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Coralogix, etc.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Automate operational workflows, deployments, and incident response processes.
• Lead production incident management, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortems.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system design, performance, and release processes.
• Define and enforce best practices for security, scalability, and reliability (SRE principles).
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform engineering strategy.

Required profile

• 6+ years of DevOps / Platform Engineering experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.).
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including networking, scaling and debugging.
• Proven ability to design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions or similar tools.
