About the role

The Key Account Manager – Institutional Sales will lead SATO’s engagement with government bodies, NGOs and large institutional customers to expand the reach of affordable sanitation and hygiene solutions across India. This hybrid, full‑time position is based in Gurgaon and reports to the Leader of SATO India.

Key responsibilities

  • Government Enlistment: Drive approval and listing of SATO products in the Delhi Schedule of Rates and major government procurement platforms such as GeM, PWD, CPWD, AAI, MES and Gram Panchayat.
  • Tender Management: Secure inclusion of SATO solutions in national and regional government tenders for water, sanitation and hygiene projects.
  • Policy Influence: Produce policy briefs and technical case studies to shape national WASH strategies and integrate SATO products into health and education sector mandates.
  • High‑Frequency Engagement: Conduct 4‑5 face‑to‑face meetings daily with key decision‑makers, contractors and influencers to build relationships and generate sales.
  • Stakeholder Ecosystem: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with government channels, NGOs, research institutions, builders and corporate key accounts.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify, negotiate and manage partnerships that position SATO as the standard brand for WASH initiatives.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in institutional or government sales, preferably within the sanitation, hygiene or WASH sector.
  • Strong network and credibility with public sector procurement officials, NGOs and large‑scale project stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel frequently and maintain a rigorous field presence with multiple daily meetings.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and policy‑influence skills.
