Key Account Manager – Fasteners (Chennai)

About the role

WITOL® is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to lead the fasteners business in Chennai. You will be responsible for driving growth with strategic automotive customers, shaping account strategies, and ensuring profitable sales execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define, monitor and review account strategies for assigned key accounts, setting long‑term growth and budgeting targets.
• Develop business with key accounts, drive sales activities, and propose price strategies based on internal cost calculations.
• Identify technical challenges, promote innovative fastening solutions, and coordinate development projects.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, manage contracts and track cost changes.
• Plan sales budgets, collect payments, and maintain close communication with the Kunshan headquarters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably with fasteners or joining technology.
• Proven ability to discuss technical issues with external partners and negotiate complex contracts.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel internationally and support the expansion of the local subsidiary.
