Junior EXIM Documentation Specialist

About the role

The Junior EXIM Documentation Specialist will ensure accurate and compliant export/import paperwork for semiconductor tools, spares, chemicals and construction materials. Based in Dholera, the role works closely with logistics, procurement, freight forwarders and customs house agents to achieve right‑first‑time clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complete document checklists per PO/shipment (invoice, packing list, HS codes, COO, BL/AWB, insurance, MSDS, certificates, etc.).
• Coordinate HS code finalisation and compile duty‑benefit dossiers (EPCG, Project Import, FTWZ, end‑use bonds).
• Generate e‑SANCHIT document sets, ensure digital signatures, indexing and quality scans for BoE filing.
• Perform three‑way checks (PO ↔ CI/PL ↔ Packing/BL) and valuation sanity checks; flag dual‑use risks.
• Support LC scrutiny, certificate of origin issuance and liaison with finance for duty payments.
• Maintain shipment‑wise document packs, licences and approvals for audit readiness and discrepancy resolution.

Required profile

• Graduate in Commerce, Logistics or International Trade; Export‑Import certification preferred.
• 3–6 years experience in EXIM documentation for EPC or high‑tech imports.
• Deep knowledge of Indian Customs procedures, BoE filing, e‑SANCHIT/ICEGATE, DGFT licensing, Project Import and EPCG processes.
• Understanding of valuation rules, preferential COO, LC/UCP 600, INCOTERMS® 2020, dangerous goods handling and special cargo.
• Strong attention to detail and document control; familiarity with SAP MM/GTS.
