Junior Azure Data Engineer – Data Platform

About the role

As a Junior Azure Data Engineer you will join a growing data engineering team building scalable and secure data platforms for SaaS, multi‑tenant applications. You will collaborate with senior engineers to develop data pipelines, perform transformations, and support event‑driven workflows while expanding your expertise in modern Azure data technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Synapse and Spark notebooks.
• Perform data ingestion, transformation, and incremental loading from multiple sources.
• Support background processing and automation with Azure Functions.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to model and manage data.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong SQL skills and basic data‑modeling knowledge.
• Understanding of incremental loads, change‑data‑capture (CDC), and performance tuning.
• Basic knowledge of Azure security concepts such as Managed Identity, RBAC, and Key Vault.
