Azure Infrastructure Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Consultant to lead the migration of on‑premises workloads to Microsoft Azure. You will work on large‑scale VM lift‑and‑shift projects, ensuring minimal downtime while maintaining performance, security, and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute end‑to‑end migration of on‑premises virtual machines to Azure.
• Perform lift‑and‑shift migrations using Azure Migrate.
• Assess current infrastructure and recommend migration strategies.
• Configure and manage Azure Virtual Machines, storage, and networking components.
• Implement replication and disaster recovery with Azure Site Recovery.
• Design virtual networks, NSGs, load balancers, and secure connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute).
• Validate migrations, conduct testing, and tune performance post‑migration.
• Monitor workloads with Azure monitoring tools and optimise resource usage.
• Implement backup and recovery solutions for migrated workloads.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and collaborate with application and infrastructure teams.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, primarily Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with large‑scale VM migration and lift‑and‑shift projects.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, storage, and disaster‑recovery services.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ‑104, AZ‑305) strongly preferred.
