Java Microservices Developer

About the role

Capco is looking for an experienced backend developer to design, build and maintain Java‑based microservices. The role focuses on delivering high‑performance services using Spring Boot, Kafka and cloud platforms while collaborating with global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business, functional and technical specifications to design robust microservice solutions.
• Identify and drive application and process improvement opportunities across global teams.
• Report risks, issues, blockers and upcoming tasks proactively to stakeholders.
• Lead the design and development of API frameworks and ensure production incident handling and root‑cause analysis.
• Work with container orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS) and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) to deploy and scale services.

Required profile

• 7+ years of backend development experience with a strong focus on Java, microservices and Kafka.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, TDD/BDD and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Proficiency in container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
