About the role
Taisei INDIA Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Japan's Taisei Corporation, is seeking an experienced Japanese Cook/Chef to join its on‑site kitchen in Manapakkam, Chennai. The role involves preparing authentic Japanese dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner while supporting Indian cuisine offerings.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and present traditional Japanese meals for three daily service periods.
- Manage kitchen operations, including ingredient procurement and inventory control.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards throughout food preparation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure consistent quality and timely service.
- Follow provided recipes and adapt them as needed to meet quality expectations.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Japanese cuisine.
- Proficiency in Japanese cooking techniques and traditional dish preparation.
- Ability to work disciplined hours (7 am – 5 pm, Monday to Saturday) in a structured environment.
- Experience handling both Japanese and Indian menu items is advantageous.
