IT Support – Utility Management

About the role

The IT Support – Utility Management role is responsible for establishing and maintaining the information system across Netarhat Mines. You will initialise new IT projects, ensure network connectivity (LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN) and provide first‑level support for critical business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, set up and manage integrated IT solutions for the mine.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and networking devices.
• Perform regular maintenance, cleaning, software updates and security patching.
• Provide remote support and operate a help‑desk for end‑users.
• Maintain inventory of hardware, consumables and network equipment.
• Support Oracle ERP (Ekayaan), Tally, mail applications and legacy systems.
• Install and update security measures such as Active Directory, antivirus, firewalls and proxy servers.
• Handle e‑waste disposal and procure spare parts to ensure business continuity.
• Support RFID‑based logistics, biometric attendance systems and conduct feasibility studies for automation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with IT support in a mining or industrial environment.
• Ability to diagnose hardware, software and network problems quickly.
• Familiarity with documentation of incidents and resolution steps.
• Strong organisational skills for inventory and procurement tasks.
