Investigation Manager (Risk & Legal)

About the role

The Investigation Manager will lead fraud and risk investigations for Aditya Birla Finance Limited, ensuring timely resolution, monetary recovery and compliance with internal and regulatory standards. The role works closely with legal, law‑enforcement agencies and cross‑functional teams to protect the organization’s assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conclude investigations within defined TAT and prepare detailed investigation reports.
• Coordinate with law‑enforcement agencies, file police complaints/FIRs and recover monetary penalties as per the penalty matrix.
• Drive mystery‑shopping and seeding initiatives to detect fraud patterns.
• Identify process gaps, conduct root‑cause analysis and propose automation or system enhancements.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure audit & regulatory compliance.
• Maintain MIS dashboards, incident trackers and periodic fraud reporting for senior management.
• Collaborate with L&D and Marketing to run awareness campaigns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Experience in collection for mid‑market or corporate clients.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and high ethical standards.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management and flexibility for travel.
• Ability to understand complex deals and work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• MIS (Management Information Systems) proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with fraud detection systems.
