Infrastructure Support Engineer – Server & Storage

About the role

This position provides day‑to‑day support for server and storage infrastructure within Bosch Global Software Technologies. The engineer works in a 24/7 Follow‑the‑Sun model, ensuring seamless handovers across global shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Windows and Linux servers, including monitoring, routine maintenance, and incident resolution.
• Assist with basic hardware troubleshooting, SAN/NAS cabling, and storage hardware issues.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware support, part replacements, and RMA processes.
• Escalate complex problems to senior engineers and track issues to closure.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, actions taken, and vendor communications.
• Collaborate with server, network, and database teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in knowledge‑sharing sessions and adopt best practices for server and storage management.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, focusing on server and storage technologies.
• B.E. in IT, Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• Motivated, flexible, and able to work rotational shifts covering multiple time zones.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external vendors.
