Information Security Engineer

About the role

MicroStrategy is seeking an Information Security Engineer to strengthen our security posture across applications, databases, servers, workstations and operating systems. You will collaborate with network, compliance and operations teams to detect, monitor and remediate vulnerabilities while implementing security best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Support detection, monitoring and tracking of security vulnerabilities at multiple layers (application, database, server, workstation, OS).
• Configure and tune SIEM performance and event data quality to improve log correlation.
• Work with the network team to implement and maintain network access control technologies.
• Configure SOAR tools, scripts, events and playbooks for automated response.
• Assist compliance efforts by documenting and implementing controls for NIST, FedRAMP, HiTRUST and ISO 27001.
• Guide network and operations teams on security best practices and automation.
• Implement and support security solutions such as intrusion detection, log management, data loss prevention, vulnerability management, web content filtering and configuration management.
• Develop operational documentation, policies, procedures and customer deliverables.
• Research emerging security products and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, HiTRUST, ISO 27001).
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with network, compliance and engineering teams.
• Experience in automating security monitoring and response.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
