Information Security Engineer II

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Security Engineer II to join its Business Security Enablement Guild. The role focuses on embedding security into Mastercard’s digital commerce solutions and supporting customers with secure software implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to perform Third‑Party Software Security Evaluations and ensure business requirements are met securely.
• Apply security principles, theories and concepts to technology reviews and risk assessments.
• Leverage Artificial Intelligence to solve business problems and improve organisational efficiency.
• Own and analyse existing business processes, identifying opportunities for security‑focused optimisation.
• Participate in team meetings, represent the guild when needed, and independently drive security initiatives.

Required profile

• Intermediate knowledge of information security, risk management and data privacy within digital commerce.
• Strong understanding of identity management, user authentication and authorisation principles.
• Passion for cybersecurity and a creative mindset for problem solving.
