Industrial Engineer – Factory Layout & Space Planning

About the role

The Industrial Engineer will lead factory layout design, facilities coordination, and strategic space planning for greenfield startups and expansion projects. You will ensure that layout and space utilization support capacity targets and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed factory layout plans in partnership with capacity and process engineering teams.
• Adapt layouts for process changes, capacity growth, and new equipment installations.
• Communicate layout requirements and updates to facilities and construction teams.
• Align layout plans with site readiness, infrastructure capabilities, and capital investment strategies.
• Conduct space utilization studies and scenario planning for future expansions.
• Support long‑term space allocation and capital planning initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in layout planning and facilities coordination within manufacturing environments.
• Hands‑on knowledge of factory construction principles and infrastructure systems related to space planning.
• Strong project‑management and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• Experience using layout simulation software.
