ICU Staff Nurse – Deharadun, Uttarakhand

About the role

The hospital is seeking a dedicated ICU Staff Nurse to join the intensive care team in Deharadun, Uttarakhand. You will work closely with intensivists and anesthetists to provide critical care to seriously ill patients.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and assess patient vital signs, initiating appropriate interventions when needed.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Identify and address potential complications such as infections, bleeding, or respiratory issues early.
• Administer prescribed pain relief medication and monitor pain levels.
• Follow strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent infection transmission.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during critical periods.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation of all interventions and patient responses.
• Manage inventory of medicines and consumables, ensuring adequate stock.
• Check biomedical equipment functionality and keep related checklists up‑to‑date.
• Maintain the crash cart trolley and ensure emergency equipment is ready for use.
• Prepare patients for discharge from ICU, confirming stability and delivering discharge instructions.
• Participate in continuous quality‑improvement and training programs.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.Sc. in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU or HDU settings.
• Ability to handle emergency medical equipment confidently.
• Adherence to specified dress code and ID badge requirements.
• Willingness to work duty hours as scheduled.
