Human Resources Manager

About the role

JustAct, a fast‑growing AI‑powered legal‑tech platform, is looking for an experienced, people‑centric Human Resources Manager. The role will build and strengthen the people function, driving talent acquisition, employee development, compliance and a high‑performance culture as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, organization design and talent strategies.
• Lead end‑to‑end talent acquisition across business, technology, operations and leadership functions.
• Drive employee onboarding, performance management, career development, succession planning and retention initiatives.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve HR policies, processes and HRMS to create a scalable people function.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, payroll processes and internal governance.
• Coach managers on employee relations, performance issues, conflict resolution and people‑management best practices.
• Design and execute learning and development programmes to build leadership capabilities.
• Track and analyse HR metrics (hiring, attrition, engagement, productivity, retention) and provide actionable insights.
• Promote a high‑performance, values‑driven culture through engagement, recognition and people‑development programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources preferred.
• Relevant experience in a technology, SaaS, startup or professional services environment.
• Proven ability to attract and retain high‑quality talent and to build scalable HR processes.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
• Experience with HRMS implementation and optimisation.
• Talent acquisition and employer branding expertise.
• Employee relations and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
