Head - Project Planning & Control

About the role

We are seeking a strategic leader to head our Project Planning & Control function. You will drive the development and execution of planning frameworks for large‑scale construction projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and implementation of strategic planning and control frameworks across multiple projects.
• Develop and maintain integrated schedules using Primavera and MS Project, coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Monitor critical paths, identify variances, and apply corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Oversee change‑management processes, minimizing schedule and cost impacts.
• Manage internal budgeting, resource allocation, and cost‑control to meet financial benchmarks.
• Implement project portfolio management processes, prioritizing projects in line with organizational objectives.
• Foster cross‑functional collaboration with techno‑commercial, design, contractor, finance, and operations teams.
• Engage external stakeholders, including statutory authorities, to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide financial oversight, monitoring CAPEX targets and initiating corrective actions for cost overruns.
• Develop KPIs, report project status to senior leadership, and establish SOPs for the department.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in project planning and control for large construction or EPC projects.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of aligning project milestones to corporate goals.
• Extensive budgeting and financial oversight experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive process improvements.
