GIS Consultant – French

About the role

WSP is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and delivery‑oriented GIS Consultant who speaks French and has practical experience with GIS technologies. The role supports data management and mapping activities for contaminated‑land, environmental planning, ecology, impact assessment, archaeology, heritage, Indigenous relations, and other environmental investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Plot, edit, and analyse spatial data using ArcGIS Pro and the broader ArcGIS Suite, including ArcGIS Online.
• Prepare maps, drawings, figures, charts, and presentation posters for proposals and reports.
• Conduct 2D and 3D GIS analysis, manage files and databases, capture spatial data, georeference, and integrate data into GIS themes.
• Convert GIS data between multiple file formats and maintain spatial datasets in web and desktop environments.
• Collaborate with senior GIS staff, other WSP offices, project managers, and clients to ensure deliverables meet standards and regulations.
• Perform quality reviews, maintain file‑directory structures, and identify service improvements.
• Stay current with GIS technology developments and embed health & safety practices.

Required profile

• Ability to work under supervision of intermediate and senior GIS personnel.
• Professional communication with team members, project managers, and clients.
• Proactive attitude toward meeting project timelines and reporting status.

Required skills

• ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Field Maps and Survey123 for field data collection.
• Routine spatial analysis, digitising, and data consolidation.
• Understanding of datums, projections, and spatial reference conversions.
• 2D/3D GIS data analysis, georeferencing, and database management.
• Data conversion between multiple GIS file formats.
• Basic web GIS environment knowledge and efficient data entry.
