Front Line Officer – ETP Maintenance

About the role

The Front Line Officer will lead preventive, predictive and condition‑based maintenance activities for a large‑capacity biochemical ETP plant. The role ensures high equipment availability, controls maintenance costs and supports the operations team in achieving asset life targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute preventive, periodic and corrective maintenance for a 2400 KLD ETP/ZLD/MEE plant.
• Implement condition‑based and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce breakdowns and improve MTTR/MTBF.
• Manage spare parts inventory to guarantee zero downtime.
• Deploy and supervise a maintenance team within budget constraints.
• Monitor equipment performance, maintain history cards and ensure >95 % availability.
• Prepare maintenance budgets, track KPIs and report performance.
• Provide training, engage and retain personnel to maximise productivity.

Required profile

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (additional diploma in Environment, Safety or Water Treatment preferred).
• 5‑6 years of experience maintaining ETP, RO, MEE/ZLD plants.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading or assisting O&M sites and managing teams of 12+ members.
• Strong background in safety and people management.

• Process control and troubleshooting of primary, secondary and tertiary treatment technologies.
• Knowledge of active sludge process, HRSCC, ultrafiltration (UF), reverse osmosis (RO), membrane evaporation (MEE) and AFFD.
• Maintenance of pumps, blowers, compressors, dryers, centrifuges, agitators, gearboxes, high‑pressure pumps, vacuum pumps and ATFD equipment.
