Front Line Manager – Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

About the role

The Front Line Manager will lead the production and shop‑floor operations of Bosch's Power Tools Manufacturing Plant in Oragadam, near Chennai. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time delivery of motor and tools assembly lines while optimizing resource utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the daily production program against the leveling plan and meet delivery targets.
• Maintain a reliable and safe working environment, handling deviations and escalations.
• Ensure product quality by adhering to standardized work, instruction charts, and process confirmations.
• Track and improve key performance indicators (SQCD) through daily leadership routines.
• Identify and lead improvement projects using SCIP and Point CIP methodologies.
• Drive initiatives to enhance BPS and 14Q maturity levels.
• Maintain and improve 5S standards on the shop floor.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, assessment, and motivation for associates.

Required profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in production and shop‑floor operations.
• Proven exposure to associate management and strong analytical, communication and presentation abilities.
