Fire & Safety Manager

About the role

The Fire & Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring that all fire protection and detection systems within our facilities operate reliably and comply with local regulations. You will lead maintenance activities, conduct inspections, and coordinate emergency preparedness across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee routine checks, testing, and maintenance of fire fighting, detection, and alarm systems.
• Supervise external contractors performing fire safety works and verify compliance.
• Inspect buildings and premises for adherence to fire codes, respond to complaints, and assist investigations of arson incidents.
• Issue work permits, hot‑work permits, and other safety permits after thorough area inspections.
• Define emergency roles for staff, organise and evaluate mock drills to ensure proper task execution.
• Deliver regular fire‑safety training to security personnel, maintenance teams and dedicated fire crews.
• Educate occupants on fire‑safety awareness and conduct quarterly evacuation drills and annual client‑specific drills.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all fire‑related equipment.
• Coordinate emergency response with local fire‑fighting agencies and maintain liaison with government bodies (PCB, NKDA, Fire Department, HIDCO, Electrical Inspector) to obtain required NOCs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fire safety management within commercial or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of local fire regulations and permit processes.
• Ability to lead training sessions and conduct effective emergency drills.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with authorities, contractors and building occupants.

Required skills

• Familiarity with fire‑fighting and detection system maintenance.
• Experience issuing and managing work permits and hot‑work permits.
• Knowledge of SOP development for safety equipment.
• Coordination with fire‑fighting agencies and government inspection bodies.
