Finance Manager – Research Sales and Revenue

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to provide financial analysis and insight for multiple Elsevier business units, covering over $3 billion in sales and revenue. The role leads a team of four and works closely with Business Decision Support finance teams to drive strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of management reporting and analysis to business units, senior leadership and RELX FP&A.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and monthly sales variance (LV) across regions and key products.
• Participate in quota‑setting for the sales organisation.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, including automation, GenAI tools and process redesign.
• Own the Oracle sales‑planning application.
• Coordinate reporting and budgeting/forecasting cycles within BDS, ensuring FP&A deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability with advanced Microsoft Excel modelling skills.
• Experience handling large data sets and quickly learning new systems and tools.
• Proactive, can‑do attitude and ability to thrive in a complex, demanding environment.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to multinational stakeholders.
• Attention to detail while maintaining a big‑picture perspective.
