Finance Controller

About the role

We are seeking a highly driven and detail‑oriented Finance Controller to lead our financial reporting, accounting operations, cost control, compliance and business finance activities. The successful candidate will work closely with cross‑functional teams to improve operational and financial efficiency in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll and month‑/year‑end closing.
• Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Produce MIS packs, analyse expenses and share detailed reports with the MIS team.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow and liquidity requirements.
• Design, implement and strengthen internal financial controls, SOPs and audit mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, consultants and tax advisors.
• Partner with operations, procurement, supply chain and business teams to support decision‑making and process improvements.
• Lead, mentor and set performance goals for the finance and accounts team, driving automation and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑unit operational environment.
• Experience in fintech, financial services or exchange platforms is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Tally, Zoho or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Excel and MIS reporting capabilities.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
