Equipment Technician

About the role

The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining and optimizing a range of surface‑mount technology (SMT) equipment in a high‑volume electronics manufacturing environment. You will ensure that all production stations operate reliably, meet quality standards, and support on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration on SPI, Fuji, GKG Printer, Reflow, and AOI machines.
• Control machine tossing, manage spare parts inventory, and oversee new product introductions, CPK and GRR studies.
• Evaluate and adjust material workflows to increase throughput and productivity.
• Collaborate with line engineers, managers, and supervisors to develop schedules that achieve 100% on‑time delivery.
• Drive daily quality improvement initiatives aiming for zero‑defect production.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure tools and equipment are ready for use.

Required profile

• Diploma holder.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in SMT equipment maintenance.
• Proven ability to work closely with production teams and follow safety procedures.

Required skills

• SMT machine maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration.
• Machine tossing control and spare‑part management.
• Line installation, alignment and bring‑up activities.
• Fuji mounter programming and cycle‑time reduction.
• Breakdown analysis, repair and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Experience with SPI, Fuji, GKG printer, Reflow and AOI equipment.
• Knowledge of new product development, CPK and GRR methodologies.
